Grayson Basil was born in Decatur, Alabama and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chinese language and literature from Emory University in 2017. He went on to receive a Master's in translation and interpreting from New York University in 2021. After years in the language industry as a translator and localization editor, he now works as a developmental and copy editor for independent authors. He currently lives in Pittsburgh with his dog, Tomato. His work can be found in Alloy as well as online.
His debut novel, Wine Dark Skies, is expected to be complete in 2027.
